#Vanlife is taking the world by storm, as more and more people realize the benefits to living out of a home on wheels. The ability to travel anywhere at a moment's notice and skip out on the high cost of rent or a mortgage are just a couple of the perks to living like a nomad.
When you hear the term 'power couple' you might think of career-driven individuals that live in a massive house overlooking the ocean—but is that kind of power really all that it's cracked up to be?
These #vanlife couples are the ones with all of the power, the ability to do what they want when they want without the same constraints forced on those that adhere to modern society. Check out the inspirational stories behind these 5 power couples that live out of their vans to see what we mean!
1. Victor and Eva
Once upon a time Victor and Eva lived in Barcelona before moving to San Francisco for work. They hated feeling tied to their 9 to 5 jobs, so they purchased a 2003 Dodge Ram from a carpet cleaner and the rest is history.
Ever since the two have enjoyed exploring the west coast. Victor is a software developer, which allows him to work on the road. Eva is an artist and seeks a lot of inspiration from living out on the open road.
Update: This power couple just recently moved back to Barcelona and are still missing their van life.
2. Greg & Michelle
Originally from New York City, Greg and Michelle have found true peace traveling across America in Arabella, a 1982 Turbo Diesel Vanagon.
The pair has plans to publish a book featuring photos from their epic travels as soon as they return to the city. Much of their work will also be displayed in an NYC art gallery.
3. Dillon & Tessa
Dillon and Tessa love sharing creative adventures and getting lost in the middle of nowhere.
Originally from Alaska, the pair is currently driving through Chile. The power couple writes on Instagram, "The hardest part of vanlife these days is thinking about the days when real life may start again."
4. James & Rachel
Originally from Florida, James and Rachel have traveled to all 50 states in their '76 yellow bus. The two have been on the road for nearly 4-years now. They make a living off video production gigs and harvesting fruit.
This power couple is in the works of publishing a book called Orange Is Optimism. You can preorder it now!
5. Mat & Danielle
Mat and Danielle made the decision to sell off all of their assets in hopes of living a happier, more simplistic life. The two have found a way to make it work living on just $18,000 a year.
Originally from Ottawa, Canada, these two now travel wherever they want in their Econoline van that's been fully restored. Their mission is to spread joy across North America while living a minimalist, healthy and positive lifestyle. They also document the unique journeys of others on a similar life path.
