Not only was this Arborist forced to cut down his favorite tree, fondly named Clyde, but the city of Redondo Beach also made him foot the bill for its removal. “Three years ago today, the city council of Redondo Beach California ordered the death of my 30 year old pepper tree,” the man writes on The reason the city wanted the tree removed? Its roots were starting to penetrate the sidewalk around his home.

You see, Clyde was not just any tree. “I loved Clyde. I'm beginning to get older, and planting something that I knew would live well beyond my lifetime was something very special,” he explains. Adding, “Mayor Steve Aspel. You killed my child. For this, you will pay.”

His revenge plan is quite possibly one of the best we’ve ever heard. “You killed Clyde, but I have replaced him with over 100 living giants. And giant they will become.”
